Please join The Golden Dome School for a weekend dedicated to movement, magic, and inter-dimensional travel! The Magician can traverse many worlds at will, moving through and mapping a multiverse of realities and dimensions. During this two day intensive, Eliza Swann and Laura Stinger will introduce movement exercises and thought experiments that assist us in moving through the “Four Dimensions of the Magician.” These worlds are known as the Objective World, the Subjective World, the Symbolic World, and the Unified or Holistic World. For two days, we will embark on inter-dimensional experiences through guided imagery and movement.

Patrick Mansfield will be organizing our food so that the energetics of our shared meals will be in alignment with our studies.

Laura Stinger will be offering lessons in movement and embodied trance techniques.

Eliza Swann will be offering lessons in philosophy and inter-dimensional travel.

All meals are included and sleeping sites are “slumber party” style – you are welcome to camp or sleep on the pull-out couch inside. Please see the FAQ and Syllabus below for more information. Questions? Just ask!

The Objective Level tells us that all matter is in a state of constant change. That what seems to be solid matter is actually mostly space, and that what little matter there is in that space is mostly composed of electrical charges and waves. The Subjective Level tells us that everything is energy, that everything is connected, and that mental energy changes emotional energy that changed physical energy. The Symbolic Level says that everything is a dream symbol, and that when one symbol changes, that changes all related symbols. The Holistic Level says that everything is one, and that when one thing changes, all things change.” Serge Kahili King, “Changing Reality”

performance14Laura Stinger is an interdisciplinary artist working in performance, sculpture, and video. Her work examines performance of identity, consumption of desire, and failures in communication between people. Performance is used as a place to push individuality, queerness, and chaotic complexity, while also finding an authentic modern spirituality. In her work, she creates situations that in their live-ness, in their rebelliousness, and in their messiness, attack the homogeneity and crippling blandness of capitalism, choosing to see art as a responsibility and a political act of radical collaboration.

Past work includes Unnatural History, Pieter Space (2016); Foreign Language Film, Golden Dome School/Coaxial Gallery (2015); After Collapsing (I Love You Anna Nicole), Dixon Place (2010), and Keeping it Down PS122 (2007)
